Dr. Joy V. Wells
Destined for failure...from abused single teenage mother, high school dropout, welfare recipient, plagued with low self-esteem, low self-confidence, and self-hatred to a confident, self-loving entrepreneur. Joy is a previous talk show host (WHPR), radio show host (1340am), and founder of a non-profit organization; Knowledge Is Power (KIP).
She is the first college graduate of multiple generations of her family. Although she only obtained a G.E.D.; she continued her higher education, obtaining an Associate degree in Nursing (AAS), a Bachelor's Degree in nursing (BSN), a Master’s Degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP), a Master’s Degree in Business (MBA), Doctorate Degree in Life Coaching (PhD), and a Doctorate in Counseling (PhD). She prides herself on her ability to promote healing within individuals and the community. Joy believes God has chosen her life as a testament of Faith, Perserverance, and Hope. She is the Author of two books “Cracked Not Broken” and “Seasons MUST Change” These books are currently used as motivational tools to encourage those who she encounters.
Joy is a loving mother and grandmother. Her favorite pastime is spending time with her family and motivating others. She has performed many motivational speaking engagements. She enjoys cooking, baking, writing,reading, and listening to audio books while traveling. Joy believes "...with GOD all things are possible!" (Matt 19:26 NIV)
